IMPACT OF THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC ON INCOME (Study of MSMEs Engaged in the Meatball Culinary Business) Bastiong Village, Ternate City
Abstract
The increasing number of Covid cases in the city of Ternate has also implemented social distancing measures to mitigate the impact of Covid-19 with presidential decree number 7 of 2020 and continued with the decree of the mayor of Ternate number 49.A/III.6/KT /2021, Regarding the task force to accelerate the handling of Covid-19 to stop the chain of transmission of the Corona Virus. The government is implementing a new way of life by always maintaining distance, wearing masks and always washing hands to protect against the Covid-19 outbreak and to prevent the spread of this virus, the government is covering all outdoor activities. This has a big influence on MSMEs in Ternate City, especially those engaged in the meatball culinary business in Bastiong sub-district. The aim of this research is to find out the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on income (Study of MSMEs engaged in the Meatball Culinary Business) in Bastiong Village, Ternate City. The method in this research is descriptive qualitative. The results of this research show that the Covid-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on the income of MSMEs engaged in the meatball culinary business in Bastiong sub-district, Ternate City. Where three meatball culinary business actors with daily income before Covid of IDR 600,000-700,000 experienced a decrease in income during Covid of IDR 250,000-300,000 and two business actors whose average daily income before Covid was IDR 500,000 also experienced a decrease in turnover during Covid of IDR 200,000 .
